Anne Touhy
Arrived in NY: 5/23/1903 (Returned to Ireland sometime after May 1910)

At the age of 19, Anne Tuohy became the first of her family to emigrate to America, sailing from Queenstown aboard the Campania. She entered the US on May 23rd 1903, and went to live at 406 East 66th Street, New York with her uncle John Derrig. She was subsequently joined by her sisters, Mary and Delia. In 1909 she married Austin McGing who lived nearby and following the birth of their first child, John, they returned to Ireland. The 1911 Census of Ireland shows them residing with her mother in Lenavena. They later settled in Creevaugh and had five children.
