Indexes to the following 3 death certificate records were found byPatricia Marie Beales, 2nd great grand daughter of John O'Connor. We plan to go to the Maryland State Archives in Annapolis to see if wecan get the original death certificate. I am guessing it is the 3rd John O'Connor.
John M. O'Connor Oct 28, 1890 (eliminated as candidate as hisObituary was in Sun Papers says he was 24 when he died…this John wouldhave been older than 58 at death)
John P. O'Connor Oct 6, 1891
John O'Connor, March 29, 1890

Details from a copy of Mary Ramsey (nee O'Connor) death certificate
(Date Oct 24, 1916) obtained from Maryland State Archives (MSA SC5458-103-5913, Certificate # C99187) confirm that John O'Conner is Mary's father. Her father's birthplace is listed as Maryland on the death certificate. That is inconsistent with the 1860, 1870 and 1880 Census records which give Ireland as his birthplace. Margaret Ramsey was the informant for the Death Certificate. (Research):Baltimore Roman Catholic Parish Burials

She and Harry Munson were married in 1899 in Phillipsburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania, USAG. She died on November 13, 1937, at age 71, in Baltimore, MarylandG, Event Description: Bronchial Pneumonia & Gall Stones. She was buried on November 26, 1937 in Tyrone, Blair County, Pennsylvania, United StatesG.
Anna Florence Heverly was also known as Annie Heverly. She was buried in Tyrone, Blair County, Pennsylvania, United StatesG, Section 15, Lot 265 - Annie's father, C. W. Heverly's lot. 1880 Census: Annie F. Heverly; age 15; lived with her parents Charles W. and Hannah M. Heverly.

Blair Beals and Annie Florence Beals were married by Rev S. F. Fergus(hand writing difficult to read) in the town of Bellwood, Blair Countyon December 9th, 1883. The marriage was confirmed by the Girard College documents of their son Frank H. Beales (This document is signed by Hannah M. Heverly as a witness of the marriage, mother ofAnnie Florence Beals.)

A good bit of Annie and Blair Beales' life was chronicled in theTyrone Daily Herald:
According to Tyrone Daily Herald, August 10, 1888 William C. Beales, the infant son of Annie and Blair died of Spinal disease.

Obituary in the Tyrone Daily Herald and documents from GrandviewCemetery confirm that Annie's husband Blair Beales died on 3 May 1895. The Girard college papers give Blair's death date as 2 May 1895.

After Blair's death, Annie gathered her living working odd jobs.

At the end of 1897, Annie and her mother, Hannah Heverly, managed to get one of Annie's sons, Frank H. Beales, into Girard college. It isa school for children in need who are without one or both parents.Girard is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In 1900 Census, Annie's daughter, Geneva Beales was in Northern Homefor Friendless Children. The home was located in Philadelphia, PA.

Girard College documents also confirm Annie Florence Heverly (Beals)married Harry Munson in 1899, 4 years after the death of Blair Beals. Harry C. Munson, born June 16, 1868 in Philipsburg Pennsylvania was aTeamster who owned his own land (Or lived on family owned land.)

Annie was a member of this church after Blair died. This is where her mother lived.

Girard college documents show that Annie Munson, previously Annie Beals, was living and renting in Pittsburgh at the time of her son Frank H. Beales' release in 1905. Address at time of release:
Annie Florence Munson
2 Johnny Alley
Rankin Station
Braddock, Pennsylvania

Annie's husband Harry Munson may have died in 1910. (Source for deathis someone else's family tree, not yet confirmed)

1910- Census: Annie has the designation of still being married asopposed to being widowed. She is listed as a renter.

1914 - US City directories for Homestead, Pennsylvania, CityDirectory, 1914. Lists Anna F Munson (widow of Harry) at 810 Amity.

1920 Census: age 56, she is back living with her mother. Hannah M.Everly (Heverly) age 75, in Pittsburgh.

Annie's death certificate documents that she lived in Baltimore since1927 (from age 64/65), so Annie must have moved to Baltimore shortlyafter the death of her mother, Hannah Heverly.

The death certificate shows Annie's son Lee S. Munson as living onLexington Street in Baltimore in 1928. He must have come down whenAnnie moved to Baltimore in 1927. He was back living in Pennsylvaniain 1930. I guess he left Baltimore after Annie went to BayviewAsylum.

1930 census: Annie lived at Bayview Asylum (Baltimore City Hospitals). It is unclear as to why she was there. From an online article: In1925 Bay View Asylum was renamed Baltimore City Hospitals' because it encompassed three separate hospitals: one for acute care, another for chronic care, and a third for tuberculosis patients.Psychiatric patients continued on at City Hospitals up through the1930s when they were admitted to state institutions.

Annie died 26 Nov, 1937 at Bayview Asylum (Baltimore City Hospitals). She lived on 330 S. Monroe st. (son moved…not sure what this meant).Undertaker: Robert Brooks & Son at Calhoun and Hollins StreetBaltimore. Buried in Tyrone Pa.

Annie is listed as Anna in her first and last census records. She isalso listed as Anna in the book on the Everly family acquired by herGG Grandson, John David Beales. It appears that her birth name wasAnna Florence Heverly and 'Annie' was her nickname. (Research):1870 US Federal Census

Girard College records indicate that Frank's grandparents (except Hannah Heverly) were deceased at the time of Frank H. Beales entrance to Girard College. That would make Charles W. Heverly's death prior to 1897.

Charles W. Heverly is not on the 1900 Census with Hannah M. Heverly.

Cholera is an infection in the small intestine caused by the bacteriumVibrio cholerae. The main symptoms are profuse, watery diarrhea andvomiting. Transmission occurs primarily by drinking water or eatingfood that has been contaminated by the feces of an infected person, including one with no apparent symptoms. The severity of the diarrheaand vomiting can lead to rapid dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, and death in some cases. The primary treatment is oral rehydrationtherapy, typically with oral rehydration solution (ORS), to replacewater and electrolytes. If this is not tolerated or does not provideimprovement fast enough, intravenous fluids can also be used.Antibacterial drugs are beneficial in those with severe disease toshorten its duration and severity. Whole lot of crap and no solutions that fit

The jury is still out on who Blair Beales' parents are. Some information we have found:

1860 Census: Jane Beales; age 44, birth abt 1816 living in Altoona,PA with Blair Beales, Age 3.

1870 Census: Jane Beals, age 36, birth abt 1834, living in Cambria,Pennsylvania with Mary Beals, age 16 and Blair Beals , age 13.

Unfortunately, 1860 and 1870 census records do not include relationships between household members .

Mary Beals is on the 1860 census with Mary Galbraith age 64 and Sarah Galbraith age 30. It is possible that Mary Gailbraith is Jane Beale smother and that Jane maiden name was "Jane Galbraith" or "Mary Jane Galbraith". Mary Jane Galbraith was enumerated on the census of 1860.

Ohio, County Marriages, 1774-1993

Name: Geneva Beales
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Birth Date: abt 1891
Marriage Date: 1 Apr 1913
Marriage Place: Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA
Father: Larabis
Mother: Anna Heverly
Spouse: Bernard Mikulski
Film Number: 000886228. She died on February 23, 1961, at age 69, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PennsylvaniaG.
1900 Census: Geneva Beale, age 8, birthdate Oct 1891, boarder at Northern Home for Friendless Children located at 5301 Philadelphia City, Philadelphia PA. Mary Margaretta Walk was the matron atNorthern Home for Friendless Children.

1910 Census: Living with her Mother, Annie F. Munson (was Beals).
Occupation listed as Actress; age 18.

1913 Marriage License of Geneva Beales and Bernard Mikulski lists Geneva's Mother's maiden name as Anna Heverly and father as Larabis Beales. This is confusing as every other record lists her father as Blair Beales (sometimes with or without the e or s). Since Geneva listed her mother as 'Anna' not 'Annie', perhaps 'Larabis' was Blair's formal name or first name. That is conjecture as we haven't been ableto find any proof of why she lists Larabis as her dad's name.

David Beales found a Geneva and Bernard McCluske. Bernard McCluske'sf ather is listed as Stanley McCluske. Bernard Mikulski's father wasStanislaus Mikulski. It is circumstantial for now, but his theory is that they changed the spelling of their last name at some point from Mikulski to McCluske. If this theory proves true then he found the names of their children. It also means that at some point they left Ohio and moved back to Pittsburgh.

MotherAnna Florence Heverly (b. April 11, 1866, d. November 13, 1937)
McGing Pedigree

Biography

Daughter Two was born before 1894.
There is an Elizabeth T. Beals that frequents church rolls with both Annie Beals and Hannah M. Heverly while they're living in Philipsburg PA. In these same rolls both Annie and Hannah are listed as widows while Elizabeth is listed as single. Elizabeth must have been born a Beals since other women on the church rolls have the designation of married. This might suggest that Annie's second daughter was Elizabeth, but this is circumstantial at best. After Blair died Annie moved back to Philipsburg according to the obituary for Blair. Between the time she left Tyrone and shows up in Pittsburgh she attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg PA. (Currentname, This church changed names several times) -

- Elizabeth T. Beals was baptized on Feb 25, 1894, but she is listedas an adult which may make her Blair's sister instead of daughter. -Or the fact that she attended the same church on the same days as Annie Beals and Hannah Heverly could be coincidence.

Elizabeth Troy Beals, Born March 17, 1877 is decidedly not thedaughter of Blair Beals. Her father was John Summerfield Beals. His age would put him in the range of being Blair's older brother, not his father.

Elizabeth married Robert Charles Young.

I don't know what her relationship is with the family but she is not Blair's sister or daughter. She could be a niece.

David is going to explore John Summerfield Beals's origins. He's gota son with the name John Wesley. Blair has a son named CharlesWesley. I want to see if there is a Wesley connection some where...

Baltimore Sun, The (1837-1987) pg. 2: Married,
On Thursday evening, 27th ultimo, by Rev. Mr Wysong, David Ramsay to Miss Mary J. Baurgelt.

David F. Ramsey married Mary J. Baurgelt on 27 Jan 1848 in Baltimore County, Maryland. Note from librarian at Maryland Historical society (MDHS): Prior to 1850 the only Catholic church in what we know as Baltimore County would have been St. John the Evangelist in Hydes, which was founded in 1822. Your ancestors most likely would have come into Baltimore City to be married. I would point out that until 1851 Baltimore City was part of Baltimore County, so the reference you have may very well be to a city church even though it lists Baltimore County as the location of the marriage.
Sincerely yours,
F.P. O'Neill

From Raymond (has Ramsay Tree on Ancestry.com): I've been spending mytime going through the Baltimore directories looking for David F Ramsay and Mary J. The last entry I can find is 1865 for David he was a blind maker and lived at 82 Booth. The 1867 & 1867 directory lists Mary J at 82 Booth and the 1882 lists Mary J widowed and 80 booth, address error I think and I lose her there. I would assume David died after 1865 and before 1867 and Mary lived there until at least 1882.What happened to the family after David died must've put them on hard times.

David F Ramsay (assuming our David F Ramsay) died on Oct 13, 1865 of typhoid fever -- Balto Sun Oct 17, 1865. Doesn't give any futher info--just a generic poem.

DAVID F. RAMSAY, in the 39th year of his age.
Past his suffering, past his pain,
Cease to weep, tears are vain;
Calm the tumult of your breast,
For he that suffered is at rest.

So, understanding that comparing dates and names from the 1850 census for kids points out a few discrepancies, if we agree this is him (and so far he's the only one we can find) in 1830 he's listed as 30-39 and in 1840 he's listed as 40 to 49 years old. So his birth range is 1800 back to 1791. (Which is shooting distance for 1788.)

Who is the unknown female in 1830 and 1840 census of an age with Margaret but who is gone come 1850?

Alexander Ramsey was not on the Baltimore 1850 Ward 19 Census, however his wife Margaret and children are. Note relationships between household members is not included in this census.

Note: another ancestry tree has his death date as Sep 21 1846..I don't have info to prove..also has birth as Scotland.

Ancestor of Ramond From Raymond Fieghenne who is also researching the Ramsey lineage:My cousin and I have been tracking the Ramsey family for years now. From our parents we knew who their parents where but not much more. On the Ramsay side David St John Ramsay 1868-1931 born to Albert R Ramsay 28 Aug 1836 - 10 Jan 1916 and Mary Josephine Nieder01 Jan 1843 - 15 Dec 1907.

Last thing my cousin found that could explain she wrote "I found some information on an Alexander Ramsay. This Alexander Ramsay was a private, Company E, Baltimore Battalion (volunteer) in the Battle of Monterey. He was killed on 21 September 1846 in the battle." Thiswould explain why he was not in the 1850 census but Margaret had two more children after that in 1848 and 1852.

John here - the date sof birth of those children were found to be before 1846 but in 1846 he'd have been at least 55 years old, ,and I'm finding him a bit old to be a private in the Army. Just saying, travellig to California, fighting in the Mexican American war at his age simply doesn't make sense with what I currently know.
