Margaret J. Brennan, 87, of Toms River and formerly of Wyckoff, NJ, died peacefully November 4, 2019 after a very brief battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. Margaret (Peg) was born December 29, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Burke of Swampscott, MA. She was a graduate of Swampscott High School. Immediately after her high school graduation she auditioned for and became one of the infamous Radio City Rockettes where she met and married the late John E. Brennan who was a Radio City Light Technician. Peg and John were blissfully married for 62 years. She is survived by their 4 daughters, Nancy of New York City, Patty of Toms River, Kathy of Myrtle Beach and Judy of Sus along with her husband Randy Egan. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother, Edward Burke, of Walpole, MA. Margaret was very involved in the Wyckoff School system and was President of the Lincoln School PTA for several years. After relocating from Wyckoff to Toms River she began working for J C Penny in Toms River. She worked there for 27 years until her death. She was a very caring woman, loved by all who knew and worked with her and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, November 8, 2019 at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
