Jean Louise (Heverly ) Hileman, 83, Hollidaysburg, died Saturday morning at her home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Samuel E. and Helen M. (Clare) Heverly. She married John T. Hileman on Oct. 21, 1955, in Altoona.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years; two sons: John T. Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of Loysburg and Scott D. and wife, Kathryn, of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel.

Mrs. Hileman was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Berwind Railway Service Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hollidaysburg.

Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and sewing and baking.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Monday, June 25, 2012, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, with Pastor Richard Harter officiating.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Joan Marie Weakland was born on July 31, 1926 in PennsylvaniaG. She and Samuel C. Heverly were married on November 16, 1947 in VirginiaG. She died on August 19, 2014, at age 88, in PennsylvaniaG.

Joan Marie Heverly, 88, Altoona, passed away to be with the Lord Tuesday morning at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Austin E. and Aileen (Sarvis) Weakland.

Surviving are five children: Susan A. Shannon of Foley, Ala., Mary Jo (Robert R.) Laughlin of Hollidaysburg, Samuel T. (special friend Vera Downs) of Altoona, Edward J. at home and Martin J. of Yadkinville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernadette Weakland.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Marguerite Frederick, Mary Jean Gibbons and Cecelia "Sally" Colledge.

Joan retired in 2000 as a district manager from the Fuller Brush Co. She previously had worked for Blair Medical Associates, B-line/Butterick Co., Dairy Queen and Fanny Farmer Candies. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Altoona. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking rides with her son, Ed, and her two dogs, Darby and Maggie, painting figurines and doing crossword puzzles.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 21, 2014, at Jones Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held during the visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Altoona, Father James D. Zatalava officiating. Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

Kirk L. Fell, 56, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away, Thursday, July 19, 2012.
Kirk was born February 15, 1956 in Pensacola, Florida to Marion and Irene Fell. He was a commercial fisherman who retired after many years. Kirk loved fishing and enjoyed having family and friends over for fish fries.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marion V. Fell.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Fell; mother, Irene C. Fell; daughters, Kristi Brown (Willie) and Karla Fell; brother, Keith Fell and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
